A few years ago I had a beautiful caramel coat pit bull and mastiff mix ,Prince, that I was very fond of. I left my home due to unforeseen circumstances and was not able to bring him with me. I have been away from home for the past 2 years now and I am beyond homesick. I did not want to get another dog because my living situation was constantly changing. However, I have finally settle down and I am debating which breed of dogs would be the best breed for me at the new stage of my life.
I am a pretty active individual that love playing sports with friends so a semi active dog breed would be nice. Also, I now live in IL where there is a ton of snow instead of beaches. I work at home, however at least 1 once a month I have to take a 3-4 day business trip. And due to my housing situation the dog should be under 35lbs. I do not desire a high maintenance breed just a loyal, semi active and intelligent breed that would mesh well with my lifestyle.
Any suggestions would be well appreciate!
