I've never really tried to get her in the basement manually, but after a year she still doesn't even care to try and enter it, she isn't curious at all. The thing is, the way the house is designed the only way to enter the back yard is through the basement. She has practically been an indoors cat for over a year and a half now. She's been in the basement once but that was because she accidentally fell from one of the windows into the yard (she was completely fine but pretty shaken up I assume) and found her way into basement easily and hid there for about 15 minutes before storming back up. I assume this event has something to do with her now not wanting to go back down there, but I would really like for her to go outside. She sits at the windows often and likes to look outside and I have a feeling she would love being outside.
