I hate that I even have to post this, but we made the heartbreaking decision that it’s time to put our beloved Star down (she’s only 5 but had a cancerous tumor we had removed and radiated but it left her unable to walk unassisted and she has gone down hill and we fear the tumor has come back).
We have a 2 yr old beagle/lab mix who loves her but she never really let him get too close. We are planning on bringing him to the vet with us so he can get closure but I am terrified of the stories of dogs going shortly after each other, broken hearted. Is there anything we can do for him to help him cope? We may try to foster for the rescue group we got him through but I don’t know if that will make a difference.
