So yesterday evening a family gave me some free dog food for our lab puppy Bc they told us that what we were using was bad. So they even fed her the new food without mixing it properly. She didn’t react badly to it so I assumed she was okay. So I gave her more of it today and she was good all day. No issues. This evening she threw up in the living room once and I was a little worried but thought maybe she just ate too much. Well she puked 9 other times since then. I had to clean my floor multiple times and am currently washing sheets. I think she’s sick because I didn’t help her transition properly off the old food and it’s making her sick but I’m not sure. She looks so thin right now. She came from a Family that neglected her so she isn’t even really used to eating in the first place let alone switching diets all of a sudden. I’m not mad at her at all for being sick. In fact I’m trying to be supportive and pet her nicely and hold her close when she’s throwing up so she knows she’s not in trouble and that’s it’s gonna be okay. A little overkill. I know I know but still. She randomly keeps jumping out of bed to puke and then I have to get up and clean up the puke and wipe down her face and invite her back into my bed. I really want to sleep and it’s past midnight. I don’t want her to puke in my bed though and she cries and whines in the crate I have because she isn’t crate trained yet. So it’s either I wake everybody in the house up and crate her or I risk her getting sick on my bed. Again. She also peed on my bed when I wasn’t looking.. but that’s besides the point. What should I do?
