I've had my cat for about 10 years now. She's pretty small and I'm pretty big. Traditionally, playing for us means fighting, as I'm in an upstairs apartment and don't like to chase her around too much lest I make noise. I'll bat at her with my hands and her her slap me back. Eventually she'll look for an opening and dive past, get her claws into my arm, and bite the crap out of me.
It's not a hostile action; her tail's up and "not fluffy" when she does it and she doesn't make any warning sounds. It's also pain I can handle (though it does still hurt!). I'm just wondering if there's anything unhealthy about this behavior for either of us that I should know about. For the record, any wounds I get are promptly cleaned to prevent infection.
