I’ve been wanting a corgi for the past 2 years or so, and since I’m starting college and living on my own I’ve started doing more serious research. Since I’m living in my dorm my first year living off campus my second I’ve dedicated this year to learning what I need, knowing the life style I’ll be living and if/how a puppy would fit into it, and getting everything set to have the fur baby I’ve always wanted. But while researching basic care tonight I found something that scared me?
The website started off simple by saying new owners should get their new dog used to a daily routine (and it was written as a guide for both adult dogs and puppies), but the 3rd paragraph had a link to a “training collar” on amazon and it was just a shock collar. The recommended items were labeled as shock collars. I closed out of the guide immediately because it just didn’t feel right. Who would put that on a puppy? Is that normal? There has to be a better way to teach your puppy your routine. Any advice?
TL;DR : Corgi care guide online recommended a training/shock collar in the 3rd paragraph. Is this normal?
