My bird took a chunk out of my finger

So we have a cockatiel around 11 months old, and we moved about 2 months ago.

Before moving the cockatiel couldn't get enough of me. He would go out of his way to climb around/make sure I would see him. At the time we lived in a basement and he didn't see much natural light. Same cage, same consistency in food. Less attention as I was working more.

We then moved to an apartment and he became extremely aggressive towards myself and only me. He's bitten me innumerable times, and hard enough to break skin about 5 times now. He wanted absolutely zero interaction with me, and wants constant attention from my girlfriend. Far more natural light - roughly 8 am > nightfall. Same cage, same consistency in food. More attention as I'm working less now.

Now hiding his cage has seemed to work. We keep it near a window for natural light and some audio/visual stimulation while we're both working. While we're home, we cover it with a sheet or curtain and he behaves like he did before we moved. As soon as it's visible, he begins attacking me again. As in, not defensive. He goes on the offensive the moment I enter the room. We hide it again, and he chills out.

He does not ever do this to my girlfriend, our other cockatiel, or cat. Only me.

We think he's just defensive of the cage - but that doesn't really explain lunging even into the kitchen just to bite me for passing through the cage area.

I would absolutely love if some could provide advice/comments/questions/concerns/ideas
