My mother and I found our cat, Mochi, out of the blue in our backyard. This was about a year and a half or two ago and ever since shes been the most loving, cuddly cat in the world..to us anyway. To others such as family or friends she often runs away under our beds or in better cases acts indifferent.
On Monday my mother and I leave for a visit back to out family abroad for a month and we have no choice but to leave her at home. We can't afford a real pet sitter or a pet "hotel" or anything like that, and besides we're afraid she'll hate being forced form her home for so long anyway. Our aunt who lives downstairs will come up daily to change litter, replace and water etc., so her basic needs are taken care of. However I am very concerned she will get lonely or anxious without us as she sleeps with one of us every night without fail. Is there anything I can do to alleviate her loneliness while we're gone?
