Bringing home two puppies

My dog who was really my best friend died 2 weeks ago, at the time I swore I’d never have a dog again because the pain was too much. Now getting back to day to day, I desperately miss having a dog in the house.

I’m planning on a completely different breed, he was a lovely Shih Tzu and I was already planning on getting a Toy Poodle so he has company. I found a good breeder before his death who said she’ll keep me up to date with any puppies.

2 days ago she reached out to let me know she has Toy Poodles due in 5 weeks time - this is great as it will give me 3/4 months to fully accept my Shih Tzu’s death.

I really want to have two dogs (love the thought of a brother and sister) and have been researching on how to cope with two puppies. So far I understand that you need to make sure they know they’re individuals, train them alone, keep them separated at night in their own bed and give them individual playtime/walk times as puppies.

I was wondering if anyone had tips as I want to give them an amazing life? Should I get both snipped?
