We have two cats, about 6 months old or so. Both female, same litter, same background, all that. One is very active, always running/jumping/climbing, you know cat stuff. The other one also runs/jumps/does cat things, but eats all the damn time. It's a bit of a joke because if we cant find her we'll usually find her scoping out her food dish whether or not there is stuff in it. Shes beginning to put on weight. We typically free-feed but have tried feeding at specific times. The problem then becomes that the first cat, the leaner of the two, becomes disinterested quickly and walks away, leaving the lard ass to finish both portions.
These are our first cats, have had dogs in the past, and we are still adjusting to little differences. How can we ensure that they both maintain a healthy weight and are eating better portions?
Thanks all, much appreciated.
