Cat very ill after vaccinations

Firstly I know this has been posted before. But I want to check that its probably from the vaccinations and have some questions.

My cat has been vaccinated and within a few hours could barely walk, very agitated, cried loudly when picked up like she's in pain etc. Took her straight back to the vets where they basically denied it's linked to the vaccination she had earlier in the day, and gave her a painkiller injection because she was clearly in a lot of pain. She also made a horrible throat sound when the vet checked her gums/mouth.

She's barely moved in 24 hours, but has managed to eat and drink this morning and is now sleeping on me. My main issue now is I've noticed the front of her neck looks swollen, but she seems to be breathing fine. I'll keep a close eye on this, but could it just be a reaction to the vaccination she had?

I'm also worried about taking her back in 3 weeks for the second jab as I can't see her go through this again.

Thanks for any help or advice.
