Hello! I have a 13yo cat who is a very finicky eater. He was on an all-wet food diet for about 6 months recently having transitioned from all kibble in order to lose some weight, he was 22lbs and is now down to his ideal weight of 11lbs. One day he decided he didn't like his wet food anymore and would let it sit out all day while occasionally nibbling on it. I switched him back to a mix of kibble and wet food - he was eating friskies seafood sensations but it led to him having very runny extremely foul smelling stools. I assumed this would stop after a few days but it persisted for 3 weeks.
I recently switched him to Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach & Skin dry food after being told it might be the grains in the cheap dry food that is causing the issue. He has been on this kibble for two weeks now and still have very runny very smelly stool. He alos doesn't like the Hill's Sciene Diet wet food, he tends to leave it out until it's dry and it causes him to vomit more than usual.
He doesn't seem to be in any discomfort when going to the bathroom and he eats the food just fine.
I am planning on taking him back to the vet soon but was wondering: has anybody else had this experience and found a brand of cat food that has remedied it? thank you!
