Hey everyone, I plan to get a chinchilla for my apartment in college. I have my own room in a complex away from campus.
My question is this: I will be home most of the time due to my workload, is a single chinchilla acceptable? Or is getting two still recommended? I will have a playpen for him in my room and he likely won't be in his cage most of the time, he will be interacting with me for multiple hours a day.
I'm leaving out a lot of other info because I have everything else taken care of: Expenses, room temp, exercise, etc.
