I have this extremely well behaved, super smart corgi mix (corgi/bordercollie) who has this one very bad habit. I have an ancient old New England house with steep stairs, and he can be pretty lazy about going up and down them. He sleeps on my bed. At some point in the night he gets up and pees on this one spot (in the bathroom, weirdly) so I step in it every morning and the place is starting to smell like pee. I use Nature's Miracle etc etc and clean the hell out of the spot and environs (he used to pee in the spare room but I blocked that off). I have no idea how to deter him since he's aware and sneaky. (OK--other than making him sleep downstairs. The stairway does have a door at the bottom)
