I have two short haired cats that are 4 years old. My male cat has an issue where he will cough and wheeze with his tongue out and occasionally vomit afterwards. I took him to the vet multiple times, and the last vet told me that he was trying to pass a hairball but couldn't, which lead to the vomiting. I started giving them a hairball remedy, which did not help, and then tried brushing him more often, which made it worse. I am constantly cleaning vomit off my floors and sometimes the little rascal will cover it with his toys so that I don't find it until a few days later. He is a pretty cat and i hate the thought of shaving him but I'm not sure what else to do? Any suggestions would be welcome!
