My sweet one was outside playing with her friend last night. When she came inside within half an hour had thrown up foam, liquid, and it was tinted with blood. There were slightly visible (clots?) or segments of the blood that were grouped together almost like mucus. I attended to her checked her for wounds etc. She’s a sporadic eater, so she hasn’t eaten yet which isn’t un common. All of her vital signs are normal and seems to be acting herself. I’ve read everything from minor to major causes of blood in vomit. So I’m well aware how many things and potentially serious indicators this event could be. I’m going to be watching her behavior and cycles eating; activity, bowl movements, over the next few days. I’m somewhat financially stable able to attend to her needs. She eats a high grade diet and obviously stays up to date on her vaccinations and medications. I wanted other pet owners perspectives on what their initial process would be concerning this matter? I would depending on activity definitely take her to the vet. I guess my concern rest in the situation that I see nothing further. I wouldn’t want this to be a symptom or pre curser to anything severe. Although due to limitations on capital I’m aware of the extent of finances it would take for blood panels and further extent of testing. If anyone has anything personal to share regarding the topic it would be greatly appreciated. Just wanted to close by saying all o really want to do is take her to the vet and make sure she’s okay, situations like this are daunting due to knowing with abundance of finances everything could be addressed quickly.
