My rabbit follows me EVERYWHERE

I got a rabbit a little over 7 months ago... I’m not entirely sure if it’s a boy or girl. But I have a friend who worked at Petsmart for a while and claims he is sure it’s a girl.... I- literally can’t argue with him because I’m no rabbit expert. But nonetheless, I ended up naming her Lola. She is literally the sweetest little bunny ever and enjoys head scratches and forehead kisses. Lola wasn’t always this easy to love. She used to be really shy and would run away from everyone! Now, she follows me and my roommates everywhere!!!! I don’t mind it until I find myself tripping over her from time to time.... but, I’m starting to wonder if it’s normal that she follows us everywhere. Especially since my mom (who grew up on a farm with many rabbits) says it’s probably because she’s hormonal and basically “NEEDS” to mate. I’d like to think it’s just that Lola is comfortable at home now and just wants to be around us all the time. But... As I said I’m no expert. But I also really want to be a good mom to my baby and make sure I’m not depriving her of anything. Anyone have advice or knowledge on rabbits? Help momma out!
