My little miniature dachshund puppy always wants to go upstairs but isnt allowed because that's the only place my cat can feel safe in. I need the cat to be able to go through/over the obstacle (upstairs) but the dog not to be able to. My issue is that the dog is smaller than the cat however the cat can jump higher. I currently have a massive box at the bottom of the stairs that the cat can jump on but the dog can't. It also is a pain for me to get passed. I don't believe baby stairgates are an option becuase if the cat could fit through the bars, the dog could also. Anyone else solved this issue?
