I've seen a product that is literally Rocks from Australia that allegedly contain some sort of minerals that when you place them in your dog's water dish, they change their urine so they no longer cause dead spots on your lawn. I care about my dogs more than I do about my lawn, but it sounds nice in theory!
Does anyone know a) how well they work (are they worth it? says it can take 5+ weeks before it changes their urine to stop the dead spots, and here in MN there's only about 4.5 months of grass season anyway), and b) if there are any health concerns with having your dog drink out of a bowl that has some foreign rock in it?
Lastly, if anyone has used these rocks for multiple years, do you use them in the winter and/or spring, and does it seem to help with your grass when it first grows each spring?
