I just moved into my first apartment. It's 49 m2, it's on the third floor and I'm allowed to have pets! I've had (caged) rabbits and hamsters in the past, but I'm not sure what pet to get. I don't have a garden. I do have a balcony, which is fenced (but animals could escape). I'm not comfortable with letting the pet outside.
I would love to adopt an older cat, because they wouldn't need a lot of space and sometimes they can't go outside because of the conditions they might have.
But, I would also love to get another rabbit, which I would like to raise roam free. But I have stairs in my apartment and I'm not sure it can go up on it's own. Also, I'm not sure I have the time and patience to raise a younger bunny roam free. And I could walk the bunny, because there's a park nearby.
In short, should I get an older cat or rabbit?
