Hi! My Dad recently got a job at a roofing company he is in retail he asked me if I wanted to do a bit of canvassing for them. I did it during that last month of summer but now I have school so I can't do it anymore. Anyhow the company got a house out by a lake near my town where they have a temporary office. A couple that works for a roofing contractor came to the house for a week and brought two kittens. They stayed at the house for like a week and then had to go back to their original home (United States. The lake house is in Nebraska and they live in Missouri or Wyoming or something) for a court case they were in. Before then they went on a trip to look at bison or something and brought the two cats. While they were there a door got left open and the cats jumped out one of them got picked up by some random lady and was never seen again. The other they brought back to the house and left. They've been gone for like 3 weeks. My dad and other employees work at the house. The other employees who didn't bring that cats live on the other side of the state and go home on weekends. And my dad comes home at night. My dad and the other employees feed her and give her water daily and change her litter. (Except for weekends) So this little kitten is often there by herself. Me and the other canvasser often report there in the mornings and the kitten gets really excited when I get there and I just sit with her for a while. The other day we got a really bad storm in the area and the other canvasser wanted to get his car to shelter. (The lake is 8 miles from my hometown and the other canvasser lives ten miles from my town) so I said I'll stay at the house because the kitten was alone and my dad would come get me later. I stayed with the cat for an hour and a half and it was a nervous wreck when I first got there. My parents spontaneously got a new puppy like 3 months ago and had a really bad experience with cats when I was younger and do not want cats anymore. I've wanted to take it in. If those people don't come back soon. Because the company wants to get an office in town where a cat could not stay. And my dad's manager has said to me before that I might be getting a cat but my dad is like no. It just breaks my heart thinking about her all alone. She is a total sweetheart and is so nice. I haven't sat down and had a serious talk with my parents about this. And I also don't if those people are ever coming back. What should I do?
