Oh I am fine with people keeping pets, but based on my own experience, I would never do it again after I am over and done with. Here's why.
- They end up dying before you first.
- They are sometimes impossible to keep indoors, especially cats.
-
Your neighbour (you never know which one) eventually ...
a. Steals them. b. Murders them. c. Relocates them without your knowledge. d. Eats them, if they're immigrants from cat eating countries.
The thought of losing them especially in a country with psychopathic neighbours is quite stressful to have to keep worrying about your pets.
Now I only have 1 cat left, and if I lose her, I am not keeping anymore.
I don't deliberately seek out pets. They seek me out as lost kittens/strays and I just take them in out of kindness.
But the bond you build with them can be difficult to heal when you lose them for whatever reason which is not always your own fault.
If you never had it, you never lost it.
