I finally pestered my parents enough for them to allow me to adopt a dog. I decided that I want to adopt a pup with an underlying disability since a lot of them don't get the love they deserve and I am disabled aswell. We could be disabled best buddies and I think that's amazing.
So my question is, do you know or recommend a place that has disabled puppies I can adopt? Should I just go to a shelter and ask them if they have some or are there shelters that specify on disabled dogs? The age doesn't really matter, but I do prefer medium sized dogs, because I worry that a large dog, even if disabled, would knock me off my feet when walking.
I work and get my own money and I used to life with two Kings charles cavaliers so I know a bit about dog care.
