Selecting a dog breed and would like to hear from anyone who's had experience with any of my top three breeds: Rottweiler, Dalmatian, Chesapeake Bay Retriever.
Some info to consider:
-Yard is 1.5 acres
-Dog will be inside and outside
-Dog will rarely be home alone
-Will take dog on 1+ hr hikes several times / week, I prefer off leash
-Most weekends (spring through fall) dog will be on a lake boating, must enjoy water
-Dog should be protective / guardian
-I have experience with large dog breeds and will invest in training
-No children in our home, but may be in the future
