Hey everyone, I'll be flying my cat from New Orleans to Seattle this month. It will be a 5 hour direct flight, I figured it'd be better to do it all in one go.
My cat hates driving with a passion. I drove him 24 hours to move here originally and he miserably yowled the entire trip. No amount of me talking to him or comforting him did anything. Last time I brought him to the vet 15 min away he used the carrier as his bathroom. I know once the plane starts moving he will freak, and I want to make this as comfortable for him and the passengers around me as possible.
So here are my questions:
- I'm taking him carry-on, I'm talking to my vet about specific sedatives/calmers but do you have any suggestions or things I need to worry about or ask about?
- Are there any documents I need to bring? The airline said medical documents are only for cargo but anything as far as tra
- Any advice for getting him through TSA without him bolting on me?
- Any general tips or advice for me?
Thank you so much everyone. I'm very nervous about the flight and my little asshole guy.
