Dog wouldn't eat, but found a solution

One of our family dogs has seemed to stop wanting to eat. She used to scarf down her food. I remembered reading that dry food isn't the best for dogs (not an expert, but I read lots of comments from people saying their pets' health improved after switching to wet). I figured that she possibly just was tired of the dry food or something, or maybe is dehydrated and wasn't salivating a lot to help break the dry food down. It's been hot and my parents only let them inside during the daytime when it's super hot and they're also home (I don't live with them).

I added a small amount of water in with the dry food and gently stirred it, not really crushing it up but it created a sort of gravy with the water. Suddenly she couldn't get enough of it and ate like normal today for the first time in weeks. Before this you had to feed the food to her by hand and I was getting very worried. Just thought i'd share, because it was a big relief.
