I adopted a 5 1/2 month old Weimaraner mix last week and today I saw a single flea. I immediately gave him a bath with dawn and combed him with a flea comb and didn’t see anymore in the bathtub or on the flea comb. I have a vet appointment scheduled for next Monday and I’m planning on getting him some flea medicine and vacuuming every day but is there anything else I should be doing? I also have a 10 year old dog who is current on her flea meds until the middle of October and an inside cat I’m planning on buying meds for on Monday also. Thanks for any advice.
