How do I stop a stray cat from eating my pet's cat food?

I have a 20 month old female cat who is an indoor/outdoor cat. Since I go to work and she's alone during the day, I leave dry food for her to eat during this time. But for the last one week, I've caught a feral cat (make, and much larger than my cat) come in and eat the food that's meant for my cat. How can I stop him from bullying my cat out of her food? :(
