hey! my baby seems to have an excessive dandruff issue, and i’m not sure where to start at when it comes to fixing it.
i googled and all i really got was an article telling me that as long as it’s not bugging my cat, don’t let it bug me. she doesn’t itch excessively, she doesn’t react bad to brushing, in fact she LOVES it. she’s just a happy cat with a dandruff issue i suppose. she has black fur which really doesn’t seem to help. so, what gives? how can i make this a bit better? again, she is completely fine but she looks so unkept because of it. :(
she’s a bit on the tubby side so i do understand that she probably has some issues grooming her back, she’s already lost butt access. another gross terrible story for a different time, yuck.
i brush all my cats once every week to help them with shedding and to also help fur numbers in our house stay down, but brushing is a 50/50 with her dandruff. sometimes it really helps and other times it just makes more. i don’t mind brushing her but to keep up with it all i’d have to do it almost everyday. i have a lot of other things to do around the house, as well as homework and making dinner. i guess i could totally work it in but i don’t think that’s really solving the issue.
anyway, suggestions?
