I have a one year old chihuahua, he’s always been high anxiety over everything. From the moment I got him, I got him as a puppy and he hated car rides, didn’t like people very much would usually cry if someone held him, and treat aggressive. I have been working on these things with him and supplementing some calming treats. Which he seemed to be improving some what. A couple months back my roommate packed up and left and also left her chihuahua with us, I wasn’t able to get ahold of her to get her dog back so I just decided to keep him. Since getting this new pup my dog has been even more anxious. I don’t know if the two could be connected. Like for instance every time im cleaning up he hides under the bed. When ever I’m in the bathroom, he hides under the bed, I’m guessing cause he doesn’t want a bath. He doesn’t even eat he’s treats anymore, which I guess he doesn’t want to other dog to take them so he doesn’t even try to eat them? I have never ever used physical discipline on my dogs, I always use positive reinforcement. So I’m not sure why he’s so scared and it breaks my heart. I don’t know what to do.
