My wife really, really wants to have a cat. She already did have one in the past, but she had to leave him with her ex boyfriend. Our main issue: we travel at least twice an year for long periods (about a month in the winter and 2-3 in the summer). We could bring the cat on the plane and with us (we basically relocate, rather than traveling), but I think it would be stressful for the cat (the travel, the new home, twice an year...). Alternatively I guess we could pay for a pension, but would make things quite expensive and for periods this long... is it good for the animal? I'd love to hear your opinion: am I overcomplicating things?
