I’ve never had a pet and I’ve wanted one for years until recently my roommate brought his 6 years old orange boi from home named Simba. It’s been such a joy learning and playing with Simba but to me he’s still a mystery. He seems to be so temperamental and I realized that might be how most cats are. Is there any resource I can learn more about cat behavior, how to communicate better / train my cat, how to improve our relationship / what to look out for when they’re sick... etc because he isn’t much of a talker and it’s hard to know what he wants. Also my roommate doesn’t have any toy for Simba so I’m thinking about picking something up but I don’t know what he would like. Is there any way I can test that? Maybe bring him into Petco and let him shop? Do pet owners do that?
