Today, leaving work, I found a group of kids throwing rocks at a baby garter snake, like six inches long. Normally I am not a fan of snakes but I wasn’t about to watch some stupid kids kill it so I took it across the road and brought it into the woods.
While I was transporting it I couldn’t help but think about how cute snakes can be and I considered bringing it home as a pet.
I let it go because I figured it already had a shitty day and I think they hurt it, but can you keep a wild snake as a pet? I know this might be a stupid question but it has never before crossed my mind.
