Hi, I visited a friend’s house earlier and stayed for a few hours, unknowingly that they were fighting a flea problem. Before this, we went on a hike as well. I was itching while I was their home, but it could’ve honestly been mosquito bites from a hike we did earlier that day. The bites look just like any other insect bite, but I’m concerned. I heard they transfer very easily.
I’m worried now, I can’t tell if I’m actually itching or that I’m so convinced that I have fleas that I’m imagining it or just have dry skin. When I came home, I scrubbed myself with soap, just in case. I’m going pop my clothes into the laundry (on warm; high will damage my clothes), but I’m still so worried. I don’t see any black specks hopping on me, but I still need to wash my clothes. My bedroom has carpeting. How likely is it that I brought fleas into my house? My parents are going to murder me if they find out that I caused a flea infestation.
