So like once every two weeks my cat will be sleeping next to me and I’ll pet her and realize she’s in a deep sleep. Usually when I pet while she’s sleeping she stretches. Then there is the weird times she’s in a super deep sleep. I call her and pet her trying to wake her up just to make sure she’s ok ( I know that’s crazy of me and I shouldn’t bother her but I can’t help it just like how I have to check the fridge everytime I leave for the day because one time my cat climbed in the fridge before I went somewhere and I didn’t see then I came back in the house to get a water and she was in there and fine but it was traumatizing for me lol ). Anyway so the way I wake her when she’s in a deep sleep and calling and touching doesn’t work is I get up because the springs in my bed usually wake her but then she wakes up hissing. When she’s in a normal sleep the bed spring wake her up and she’s normal. Even when a loud noise scares her awake and she jumps up she still doesn’t hiss. Only when she’s in a deep sleep like that. But so she wakes up hissing really crazy and scratches and attacks me for like an hour or until she leaves and comes back or goes back to sleep. She’s not an aggressive cat at all. She never hisses or hurts me or my family on purpose. It’s just weird to me that she does that. Makes me wonder if she’s hurt or having nightmares. I’m not sure. Anyone else have this happen?
