Angry & heart broken

My family and I adopted a 7 year old dog (small poodle mix) a few months ago. We understood it would be a struggle & since one of us is home all day we could manage this dog. Unfortunately, the lady we adopted her from was not being totally honest about the dog. We were told she was an indoor/outdoor dog, used to kids, eats wet/dry dog food, is housebroken etc. We expected accidents, but this dog will purposely go into my youngest child’s room and defecate/urinate on her toys, bed, in front of the door. She has tried biting my children, and only because the kids want to sit on the couch. We are literally all trying to watch a movie, kid moves from floor to get up to couch & “snap!”. They aren’t moving fast, she just snaps and snarls as soon as they want to get on the couch.

She refuses to go outside to poop/pee. She goes outside every time our other dog goes out, plus more in between. Our other dog was in the home first and he does everything outside. He is a very balanced dog & he has actually helped us in training behaviors out of friends dogs, just by example. She refuses to eat dog food and I will not give her table scraps.

I asked the lady we got her from if she had any ideas on why would be having so many problems & if she had suggestions. It turns out this was an exclusively outdoor dog whom the ladies husband was beating, I am definitely not giving her back to them. She was fed only table scraps. Which explains why she prefers eating garbage over dog food.

These are only a few of the problems we are having. I feel like a monster for even thinking about getting her a new home. But I feel her hygiene issues are beyond what we were expecting. Plus my kids think she hates them since she is so territorial. I cannot allow an aggressive dog to continue living in my house. It’s honestly way too cold to make her live outside where we live. Average temps have been around freezing.

What are some options for finding someone who would want to deal with all of this? I’ve never felt hopeless about a dog enough to rehome. TIA.
