My cat was diagnosed on Friday. We have been force feeding her ever since. Her vet recommended this rather than a feeding tube because she tolerates it rather well, we can feed her enough of her daily needs, and didn't want to put her through the potential complications of surgery. We are gradually seeing improvements but today she has been drooling ever since we tried to give her Denamarin. She absolutely hates it so much that the doctor suggested to just stop giving it to her. But even after she keeps drooling. I'm not sure if it's because the taste is still in her mouth or if it's a side effect of the fatty liver disease. How can I tell if she's getting better or not? I'm worried the vet was wrong and she might actually need a feeding tube. If anyone has any experience with cats and this disease please share any suggestions or advice you have.
