I got an Australian Shepard about 2 months ago. He is around 4 months now and I feel like I have not gotten anywhere with house breaking him. He pees without any warning or communication. He pees when you walk him down the stairs. He pees when you pick him up to carry him down the stairs.
Recently we stopped letting him on the furniture because he peed on them too much. He did okay for about two days. Today he was sitting under my feet, peed all over the floor, then laid back down in it.
I live in a 3 story town house so I understand accidents will happen on our way to the door, simple things like that. We set up bells in the living room to try and bell train him and help him communicate. We have a Pomeranian who is bell trained that is also a boy. I’ve thought maybe it’s a marking thing. Why does he pee so much? I will take him out almost every 30 minutes (alarm and everything), I let him stiff everything he wants, pee, poop, come back inside, and he will PEE MORE.
If this seems incoherent it is because I just bathed him from laying in his pee and I’m still very frustrated with him.
Will fixing him help this? Are some dogs just like this? What can I do? If anyone has any recommendations PLEASE HELP. I’ve never seen a dog pee this much or often and I am desperate.
