Okay, so this is kind of a complicated story. This guy was a tenant of my moms who recently moved out 2 months ago. About a year ago, he was taking care of his dads 2 Australian Shepard's. At one point for some reason he kept them both in one crate for a very long time. I would come home from work, to see them in a crate with a little container of water. I would never know exactly how long they were in there, but I knew he was usually worked for 16 hours. I'm guessing he might have came home to let then out, because I didnt see pee or poop in the crate. Regaurdless I think that was cruel. Another timemy dog was disobeying me. She ran and hid under my car for some reason. He said "hit her dude" I told him I dont hit my dog. He often took care of his girlfriends dog, and he trained (or tried) to train his sisters dog, but I never saw, or heard him hit any of them. Other than what I've said he seems to have treated the dogs pretty well, this is what I'm worried about though. I bought a crate for my dog who ended up passing away. He got a small dog, and asked if he could buy the crate off of me. I let him. I didnt think about this until now, but I'm afraid hes going to keep his new dog in a crate all of the time. This guy is pretty ignorant, and I'm afraid hes mistreating the dog. I was thinking of calling my local animal rescue on him, but I have a habbit of worrying, and getting in other people business. I'm also afraid that I'll eventually have no choice but to take his dog from him, and I dont want another dog. I'm not close to this guy. I would just talk to him when I saw him at my mother's house. I dont even know where he lives now. Would I be a bad person for just assuming the dog is okay, and do nothing? I saw a picture of him and the dog on facebook, and it was a pretty sweet picture, but that doesnt mean hes sweet to it at home. I was gonna message him and see if I could get him to admit to creating his dog for too long, and than show it to law enforcement, but if I dont have any proof, than there is really nothing I can do. I could try to be friends with him, and go hang out at his place, but I'm sure he doesnt. Crate the dog while hes home. Unless I looked throught the window when hes gone. And than find out how long the dog is in the crate. Uugh! Idk what to do.
