As stated, I'm leaving on vacation and will be away for 10 days. My one cat is very comfortable around me and in my apartment, but is timid around new people and in new places. I thought I had something lined up, but it turns out it won't work, so I've got to options and am really trying to figure out which would be easier on my cat. I was initially hoping to have him either in a place he doesn't know with someone he does know, or in my place with someone he doesn't know.
As it stands, I'll either be having my boss come over every few days and check on, or be dropping him off at another coworkers house (they currently have no pets). On one hand, he'd be comfortable being in my apt but only getting interaction every few days doesn't seem ideal. Conversely, while it'd be nice for him to get attention daily, him being in a place he doesn't know with people he doesn't know sounds super stressful for him.
I know I'm probably overthinking it, I'm just really worried for him and want him to be as comfortable as I can while I'm gone.
