My cat broke/sprained his ankle (unclear from X-rays) about a week ago. He handled the first splint beautifully, but completely pulled redone splint we got today off.
He had absolutely no external injuries from the accident that caused the break. After pulling this splint off he has now started pulling chunks of fur out of his leg and paw.
I’m trying to figure out if his splint was too tight. I’m now terrified of infection.
We’re getting his splint redone tomorrow, but I’m panicking at the moment.
