Our cat is now 1.5 years old. Even as a kitten, she was never particularly playful or active. Always seemed thoughtful and serious.
But in the past month or so, she's been acting even more sleepy and disinterested. She's completely stopped having her crazy cat moments where she runs around the house chasing nothing. Even the toys that used to sort of interest her do not anymore. She eats normally, drinks water normally, pees and poops as usual. It's just the little amount of playfulness she did have before seems all gone now. She also seems to be more fond of us and softer somehow. Used to dislike my petting her but now she purrs when I do it.
Is this some sort of personality change? Given her age. Or is it a temporary change due to the poor winter weather?
I will take her to the vet after the holidays but really wanted to check in with you all and see experiences / thoughts on this matter.
