My cat got out of the house for 30 minutes about a week ago and since then hasn’t stopped meowing to go back outside. Letting him out isn’t an option and he refuses to be put on a harness and walked. However he not only meows at the front door all night, but also my roommates door as they are at the back of the house. They keep their door closed because they have a cat they keep in there, and the cats don’t get along, but the rest of the house is my cats free range. I have work on the night shift (until about 1am) and usually try to play with my cat during the day since I’m always tired when I get home, but this is when he wants to go meow at the doors because I usually wake him up by coming home. Does anyone have any advice on how to get him to stop meowing and waking up my roommates?
