Hi guys, i hope asking advice in this sub is fine, i figured it'd be the best place to go.
I have two cats, one of whom is a big fatty boy who yes, is on a special diet from the vet, but constantly steals his sister's food and is a general lazy fatass. Getting him to shed the weight is difficult to say the least, so we brought two puzzle feeders, one that's sort of like a flat silicone plate with multiple segments so they have to 'fish' the food out, and the other a rolling tube with holes to drop pieces.
Problem is, neither of them seem interested in the slightest and show no curiosity in either of them. Is there anything i can do to encourage them, maybe to try and teach them how the toys work? I've tried leaving a few dry food pieces tucked under the rolling toy so to eat the pieces they have to push the toy, letting more out but they don't seem to get the message?
