Imagine you have a friend, who owns a 15 year old cat with hyperthyroidism. The cat is suffering from severe allergies from the treatment drug. The vet gives them an option to do radiation tharapy, for $1,000 which will most likely completely cure the hyperthyroidism. Your friend decides they dont want to pay that amount on the cat, so they decide to put the cat down, instead of letting it suffer for the rest of its life. Would you still he that persons friend? Would you consider them a terrible person?
