I'm not sure if this is the best sub to ask this, but I've been considering buying a dog or a cat. However, I'm allergic to both and when I visit people who have pets, I start to develop asthma the longer I am there. I'm trying to figure out if an air purifier would help if I had a pet of my own, but I only see articles written by air purifier manufacturers (they might be a tad bias). I'm looking to see if anyone has first hand experience with reducing pet allergies through the use of air purifiers.
