How can I ease my dog (and myself) while I travel?

My dog is 15 years old and Ive had her since I was 4. She is my best buddy and she's very attached and protective of me. We have snuggled in the same bed every night since I was little. I'm 19 now and would like to go on a week long trip many states away. My parents will be with her all week (she has also lived with them for 15 years so she's very attached to them as well.) Im wondering if theres anything I can do to make her feel okay while I'm gone? Im worried that she will worry I've left her or I'm never coming back. We haven't been apart more than 3 days my whole life. She's very healthy for her age (very energetic, eats and drinks well, still goes on long walks.) but I can't help but worry that sadness will hurt her. Maybe Im just been irrational but should I leave a t-shirt with my smell on it for her? Will face timing her help? (lol). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
