Basically I got the fish as a secret santa present (totally did not ask for it) and I hate to see any kind of caged animals so I guess I'll just go ahead and give it to someone who wants tomorrow.
Thing is, it's been here in my house for the last 2 or 3 days and it had eaten in the first days, but now it just won't eat, it stopped eating yesterday and now it hasn't eaten the whole day. We put the food for it, it sometimes puts it on its mouth, but then it just spits it and leaves everything floating.
We changed its water and try to feed it 2 times a day with 5 of those fish food beads.
I'm afraid that it is hungry and just won't eat because of stress or something, I have no ability on taking care of a beta fish since I never wanted one.
Is there anything we can do to encourage it to eat? Any other food it would like more than fish food?
