I have two very cute kitties named Luna and Midna. They’re spoiled and very loved. Every night after dinner, I play with them using a string mouse toy. They love this and I make sure our playtime lasts at least 30 minutes. I let them free feed at night and they have access to their litter box and water. The problem is that I recently got some furniture removed that was cluttering the space. The cats have been acting like the living room is brand new and exciting lol. Instead of my room being their preferred space, the living room now is. Understand though, since all their toys/pet beds and food is down there. I think they think going upstairs in boring now. Anyways, Luna loves sleeping together and has no qualms about going to bed after playtime.
Midna on the other hand, once she realizes we are laying down for the night, will howl downstairs. She sits by the stairs and cry or run upstairs and cry and then dart off. She can continue this on and off literally ALL night. I think she is just wanting to play. I have left the squeaking mouse toy out (all the others are silent and I think she likes the noise it makes) and that seems to help her crying but it’s also almost as loud as her lol.
I think Midna just needs to exert a little more energy before bed. But I’m curious if anyone else has a similar issue?? I miss sleep lol!
