Kitty probably has kidney disease and I don't know how to process

So, the love of my life more than likely has kidney disease/failure. She's a 14 year old orange tabby and has had hyperthyroidism that we've treated for about 6 months. They still need to do other tests but it seems like she more than likely has kidney issues. She has anemia but no other late stage symptoms. The dropped her hyperthyroid pill dosage hoping to help the anemia and they need to test her urine.

I'm just so scared. 14 is old but it isn't like crazy old. I've known for a while that she's getting up there but I dunno, this just feels so final. Again, she doesn't have a lot of the late stage signs and there is medicine I can give her, but it just feels like the clock just started ticking a whole lot faster. She's been in my life since I was 14 and I literally can't imagine her not with me.

I'm rambling now but I just found out yesterday and I haven't had any time to process any of this since I've worked 20 hours since finding out. I guess I'm just trying to process a little bit.

I don't really want to know the bad stuff. I guess I'm just looking for advice and maybe some clarity. I don't know.
